World Open Draws To Be Made "Live in Rotterdam"
The draw for the World Open Squash 2011, which
starts in exactly one month’s time in the
Netherlands, will be made ‘live’ on
Monday October 10th at 16.00 hours
in
Hotel New York in Rotterdam.
The city’s mayor
Ahmed Aboutaleb
will be executing the draw on behalf of the
Women’s International Squash Players Association
(WISPA) and the Professional Squash Association
(PSA) and will be assisted by WISPA’s Tour
Director
Tim Garner
and PSA’s Chief Operational Officer
Lee Beachill.
Virtually all of the world’s leading squash
players will be going into the hat for the live
women’s WISPA World Open and men’s PSA World
Open draws with defending champions
Nicol David
and
Nick Matthew
spearheading a star-studded cast who have
entered for the richest ever event in world
squash, which will take place in Rotterdam from
28 October to 6 November.
Initial rounds of the most prestigious squash
championship on the WISPA and PSA World Tours
take place at the
Victoria Squash Club,
before the action switches to a
specially-constructed ASB glass-walled court in
the renowned
New Luxor Theatre
in the Dutch ‘City of Sports’.
Ticket demand for the World Open Squash 2011 has
been very high, resulting in a sell-out crowd of
1.500 spectators for both the semi finals and
finals.

Tickets for
the most prestigious squash event of the year can be
booked online.
With less than 50 days to go before the start of the
championship, tickets for Saturday’s
semi-finals and Sunday’s final are
already almost sold out.
